About Counselling

I offer a safe and confidential place where you can talk and be heard. Counselling is about you and what might be troubling you, it might be something happening in your world right now or something that has been with you for a while.

You might know exactly what is troubling you or have a general sense of something just not being right.

Sometimes talking to family and friends isn’t always possible. I will hear how it is for you, because I’m not involved in your world.

I will give you the time and space to be yourself. I don’t believe that people are broken and need fixing but at times we can all feel a long way from where we want to be.

Everybody is different and so our work together will be led by what works best for you. You dictate the pace and decide what you feel able to discuss.

About Me

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor. I choose to work in a Person Centred way which means that you decide what you want to share and the pace that we work together, I am not here to judge but to hear what it feels like in your world. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and honour their code of ethics which guides my work.

I am a real person; I will treat you with respect and offer a space where it is ok to be what you need to be. I am warm and approachable and enjoy a quiet sense of humour. I have two gorgeous Labradors who may sit in with me during our time together and might even come on camera to say hi on occasion too!

Counselling is all about finding somebody you feel comfortable with. You need to feel safe enough to share your world with me. For this reason, our first session would be “a taster” for just 30 minutes for which I don’t charge. It will give you a chance to virtually meet me and to decide if you would like to meet again.

I strongly believe counselling should be available to everyone so charge £30.00 for a 60-minute session to be accessible to as many people as possible.
